Read the article below, great tips for avoiding bad breath.

"Bad breath may cause more than just personal discomfort. Imagine leaning over to kiss someone only to realize they've turned their face away or people visibly edging away from you to get away from the … uh… stink. Here is how you can get rid of foul breath and embrace a more fragrant oral health.

What Causes Bad Breath
The main cause of bad breath is firmly rooted within the mouth. The most usual triggers for bad breath include gum disease, lack of proper oral hygiene and open spaces within the mouth which trap bacteria. Other causes which may lead to bad breath include infections of the sinus or respiratory organs, tonsils or problems of the gastro intestine. Bad breath could be triggered by any of the above conditions.

google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Without anyone telling you that you have a bad breath, you could know if you suffer from this condition if you witness any of the following symptoms:

* Whitish tongue
* Thick saliva
* Mouth dryness
* A sour, metallic or bitter taste in the mouth.
* A bad aftertaste after having beer, milk, or coffee or after using a mouthwash.

Steps to Prevent Bad Breath
Good oral hygiene can substantially reduce any chances of bad breath emanation. Ideally, one should brush their teeth twice a day. Flossing is of particular importance as it helps you get rid of any food debris trapped between the gum line and the teeth. Decaying food attracts bacteria which in turn releases smelly gases, thus making your breath smell bad.

The back of your tongue is another likely place where odor causing bacteria may thrive. Since brushing doesn't usually extend to that area, the organisms can stay put there for any amount of time without being disturbed. To prevent this, use a scraper or other similar device to keep your tongue clean and free from bacteria. Ideally, you should do this twice a day without pressing down too hard and injuring your tongue. Toothbrushes should not be used for this as they might make you choke.

Dry mouths may also cause bacteria and therefore, it's absolutely imperative to keep yourself hydrated as much as possible. It will also help your body produce adequate saliva to keep the mouth cleaner.

Rinse your mouth with water after each meal- it will help keep you hydrated and also remove any food particles sticking to the interiors of your mouth.

Chewing may also help you cure bad breath as the action gets your saliva going and produces a pleasant scent which covers up all the bad odors.

Other ways you can prevent bad breath is by avoiding foods which are known to trigger the odors and also gargling at night with an effective mouthwash- preferably non alcohol based. These little actions will help eliminate bad breath forever."
